Retired thoroughbreds excel in second careers as top eventing, jumping and dressage horses. They work with mounted police units and with children and adults in life skill and vocational programs. Others are perfect as simple walking and pasture companions.

For those interested in adopting one of these magnificent horses, farms working with The Gulfstream Park Thoroughbred After-Care Program require some background information as well as references. A member of The Gulfstream Park Thoroughbred After-Care Program or farm volunteer may also visit your farm or the facility where you will board the horse.
